All My Children's Cameron Mathison (ex-Ryan Lavery) has had a lot of irons in the fire since leaving Pine Valley seven years ago, and his next possible project sounds like one of the hottest.
The actor has been cast in a pilot called Manopause, and his explanation of the series and his character definitely has a Desperate Housewives vibe to it -- specifically One Life to Live star Tuc Watkins' (ex-David Vickers) role as gay Wisteria Lane resident Bob Hunter.
Says Mathison of Manopause: "It's based on a true story about these guys who had it all and were very successful and had a lot of money. Three buddies who have known each other all their lives, and one of them dies, and they realize [that all of their success and wealth] means nothing, so they're spiraling out of control. I play a little bit of a younger guy who moves into the neighborhood and I get all the attention that they used to get and we butt heads."
He continues: "They don't know that I'm gay and then they find out, and ultimately, I become their greatest ally to help them meet women, and I'm no threat to them. It's a cute script."

Due to his ongoing gig as a correspondent for Entertainment Tonight, Mathison reveals he's unable to sign on to Manopause full-time. But he says, "recurring would be great."
Not many other details about Manpause have been released. However, Richard Burgi (ex-Paul Hornsby, General Hospital; ex-Phillip Collier, Days of our Lives; ex-Chad Rollo, Another World) and Rebecca Staab (ex-April Stevens, The Young and the Restless; ex-Elizabeth Barrington, Port Charles) are listed in the credits on the show's IMDb page.
