If you were one of the oodles of fans hoping that Steffy and Finn's wedding would go off without a hitch later this week on The Bold and the Beautiful... well... this is a soap, after all.
"It was supposed to be a nice wedding day for Steffy and Finn," Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy Forrester) told Entertainment Tonight in a segment that aired Monday. "And things were going well until Sheila pops up."
Sheila? Sheila Carter?! Yup.
Why on earth would Sheila show up for "Sinn's" wedding day? It's not like she's related to either one of them. Oh... wait. It turns out she is.
"Congratulations," a shadowy figure tells Finn. The figure then steps into the light and proclaims, "I'm your mother!"
You'd think The Bold and the Beautiful would want to keep something this big under wraps, but apparently, that was not the case.

The good news is that Finn and Steffy apparently do get to the "I do" portion of the wedding. The bad news... well, Sheila. Duh.
B&B viewers learned last week that Finn was adopted. They also learned last week that Finn's dad, John, apparently knew more about Finn's "adoption" than he was letting on.
It's been three years since Kimberlin Brown last appeared on The Bold and the Beautiful as Sheila, a role that Brown originated in 1990 on The Young and the Restless. There's no word yet on how long the actress-turned-politician will stick around, but with the bombshell she drops, the impact will more than likely be felt long after Sheila exits the canvas.
"I'll play as long as they'll have me," Brown told ET.
In an interview with Soap Opera Digest, Brown practically squealed about the new developments. “Especially because all the years that Sheila has been on the show, and I know she has other children, I’m finally going to get to act with one of them for more than just a little while," she shared. "Think about this, Sheila finally has a connection to the Forresters -- through Steffy, whether she likes it or not.”
As for whether Sheila will be a mommy dearest or a Mommy Dearest, the verdict's still out on that. Previewed Brown, "[Sheila] was really trying to be a better person. There’s no doubt about that, and I don’t think that that has changed. But, even for people who have become better, in the face of society, when you have certain elements in life that refuse to acknowledge that betterment, you just hope you don’t slip back into some of your old ways."
Finn and Steffy's wedding is a two-day event that airs August 5 and 6 on The Bold and the Beautiful. And we can't help but wonder if Officer Byrd knew what he was getting himself into when he agreed to appear on the CBS soap!
