Deck the halls with boughs of holly and get ready for a super soapy holiday film headed to Hallmark this Christmas. Michael Damian (ex-Danny Romalotti, The Young and the Restless) has announced that his film, The Christmas Waltz, will be part of the feel-good network's upcoming slate of 40 holiday films airing as part of its eleventh annual Countdown to Christmas event.
"Hey friends, super excited to share the news that our film the #ChristmasWaltz starring the uber talented Lacey Chabert is coming @hallmarkchannel this Christmas 2020," he posted on Instagram.
Damian originated the role of Y&R's Danny in 1981 and has played the character on-again, off-again since that time. Nowadays his focus is mostly on directing and producing. Together with his wife, Janeen, he is behind the film High Strung and its sequel, High Strung Free Dance, both released theatrically by The Walt Disney Company in international territories and by Sony, Netflix, Redbox, and others in the U.S.
The Christmas Waltz is one of three Michael Damian holiday films recently signed by Brad Krevoy Television, a division of MPCA and producer of Hallmark Channel's hit series When Calls the Heart (which stars soap alum Jack Wagner [ex-Frisco Jones, General Hospital; ex-Nick Morone, The Bold and the Beautiful]). The other two Damian films that Brad Krevoy Television signed for in the deal were Much Ado About Christmas and Christmas in Transylvania.
Chabert won the hearts of daytime fans in the role of All My Children's Bianca Montgomery, which she played from 1992 to 1993 before going on to find fame in series like Party of Five and films like Mean Girls. She's now a staple on Hallmark, having appeared in countless films on the network.
There's no word yet on when The Christmas Waltz will air, but the Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas is set to kick off on Friday, October 23.
