The Young and the Restless is adding a little Latin flair to Genoa City with the casting of Jason Canela as a charming building contractor named Arturo.
The former telenovela star is scheduled to make his first appearance on Friday, February 2, and Entertainment Weekly reports the Cuban actor's sexy GC alter ego uses his charismatic aura to sway a certain client into having a little bit of, ahem, fun.
Canela may already look familiar to American television aficionados; he starred alongside All My Children alum Mark Consuelos (ex-Mateo Santos) in the baseball series Pitch. However, he's arguably most famous for his telenovela credits, which include Telemundo's Donde Esta Elisa, Cosita Linda (Venevision), and Ruta 35 (Unimas).
